Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This policy explains how billing, cancellation and refunds work for businesses that subscribe to YardWyre. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Where a different arrangement was agreed with you in writing, that arrangement applies instead.
1. Bought a Part From a Yard's Store?
Each online parts store on yardwyre.com is run by the yard named on it. That yard is the seller, takes the payment through its own Stripe account, and sets its own return and refund policy. For a return or a refund, contact the yard. YardWyre does not sell parts, and refunds for store purchases are the yard's decision.
2. Free Trial
New accounts start with a free trial of the software. Subscription and sales fees do not start until the trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, the cancellation takes effect when the trial ends, so you owe none of them.
The one-time setup fee, and the one-time fee for any optional feature switched on for you, pay for the work of connecting and configuring your yard. They are owed once that work starts, including during a trial.
3. Billing
After the trial, YardWyre is billed month to month, with no long-term commitment. At the start of each calendar month we bill the month just ended: the subscription and per-user fees for that month, and the usage-based fees, which are our share of eBay sales made through YardWyre and the fee for each VIN or plate decode. Our share of a sale on your online store is not on the monthly bill: it is taken when the buyer pays, and if you refund the buyer, the matching part of our share is returned. Our current rates are on the pricing page.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time by telling us through our contact form. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the calendar month in which we receive your request, or when your free trial ends if you are still in it. You keep the Service until then, we bill that last month as usual, and nothing after it.
Cancelling YardWyre does not touch your Powerlink database, which stays yours. What happens to the records we hold for you is set out in our Privacy Policy.
5. What Is Not Refunded
- Subscription and per-user fees for any month in which you had the Service, including the month you cancel in. We do not refund part-months.
- Usage-based fees, which reflect use already made.
- The setup fee and one-time feature fees, once the work they pay for has started.
6. When We Do Refund
If we charge you by mistake, charge you twice, or charge more than our published rates or your written agreement allow, we refund the difference in full to the payment method you paid with. Tell us through the contact form. Once issued, a refund usually takes 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
7. Your Rights
Nothing in this policy takes away any right you have under the law that cannot be waived.
8. Changes and Contact
If we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top. YardWyre is based in New Jersey, USA. Questions? Send them through our contact form and we'll get back to you.
