A salvage yard inventory app for the phone in your pocket.

Book a car in by scanning its VIN, walk it part by part, scan part tags in the row and photograph them — on Android or iPhone, straight into your yard system.

Parts have to exist in the system before they can sell, and the work of getting them there happens out at the car, not at the terminal in the office. YardWyre puts that work on the phone in your pocket: it is the scanner, the keyboard and the camera, and everything it records lands in your yard system.

Scan a VIN to book a car in

Read the VIN and the vehicle is in your yard system with a fresh stock number, then take the car's photos on the same phone, right there. Scan a car that is already on the books and it opens instead, so nothing is entered twice.

Walk the car and book its parts

Work through the car part by part. The versions offered come from your own interchange data for that exact vehicle, so you pick the mirror or the alternator the car actually has, not a guess you find out about when a buyer complains.

  • A suggested price on every part

Each part opens with a price taken from what your own yard has priced and sold that part for. Change it before adding if you want; how to price used auto parts covers the rest.

  • Several of the same part

For parts a car has more than one of, a setting keeps you on the same part after you add one; press Next when you are done.

  • Your own part lists

Keep several named lists of the parts to book — one for trucks and one for compact cars, say — and pick the right one when a car opens.

  • The whole car in one pass

The camera stays open: keep tapping to take as many pictures as you want, then upload them together.

Scan a part tag and photograph it

Scan the tag on a part already on the books — or type its number — and the part comes up, so nobody photographs the wrong one. Shoot it there and then, or attach pictures already on the phone. The photos land on that part in your yard system.

Photos upload behind you

Walking a row, you scan a part, shoot it, and move to the next one. The pictures upload in the background while you carry on, one batch at a time, so the job never waits on a phone signal — and when there is no signal at all, they wait on the phone and go up when it comes back.

Rescan a part onto its new shelf

Reorganizing a row is a two-scan loop: scan the part's barcode, then scan the new shelf location, and its location updates in your yard system on the spot. It reads any Android barcode scanner too, so the job stays hands-free.

Check a VIN without booking anything in

Before any decision, the question is what you already hold for that car. Enter a VIN and YardWyre shows your stock for that exact vehicle — engines, transmissions and transfer cases matched through your interchange data — with miles, price and location. Nothing is created; it only answers.

Installs from the browser

YardWyre installs onto a phone straight from the browser — no app store, nothing to approve — on Android and iPhone. Stock lookup, work orders and delivery tickets travel with it, and each person sees only the features you grant them.

From the row to eBay

Once a part is booked and photographed it can go straight to eBay with real fitment. See the eBay listing software, or how it all runs on Hollander Powerlink.

How it works

Questions yards ask

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It installs from the browser on both, with no app store and nothing to approve.

Do I need a separate barcode scanner?

No. The phone's camera reads VINs and part tags. Any Android barcode scanner works too, for jobs like moving parts between shelves.

What if there is no signal in the yard?

Photos wait on the phone and upload when the signal comes back, so the work never stops for it.

Where does the data go?

Straight into your yard system: the car, its parts and their photos land on the records you already keep.

How much does a VIN decode cost?

VIN decodes are charged per decode. Current rates are on the pricing page.

See it on your own parts

We will take a copy of your inventory and show you what would list, what it would price at, and what the fitment would say.
